SPED & Speech plan K-5
Parents, please encourage your students to spend 20 – 30 minutes a day on Istation reading and math. (Login through Clever.) This might help us track progress and identify needs. Also encourage your children to follow their classroom teacher’s instructions and guidelines. To try to provide some of the extra learning opportunities your Special Education student needs, we are providing pencil/paper and practice packets that will help address your child’s IEP goals in academic reading, math, written language, as well as speech and language needs. Please contact your special education teacher for more information on how to get a packet.
As a Special Education team, we would request that you also:
- -read with your child 20 minutes daily
- -read a passage and ask your child comprehension questions
- -talk about unknown words or phrases in passage (vocabulary words, idioms, etc.
- create an at-home writing notebook-have them draw pictures and journal daily to create a personal diary
